Learning a foreign language requires plenty of patience and practice with listening, memorizing, speaking, reading, and writing. Students are challenged to learn new verb conjugations and sentence structures while memorizing an extensive new vocabulary. Having a one-on-one coach is a great benefit to learning a new language. We welcome ESL (English as a Second Language) students and encourage non-native speakers and visitors from other countries to take advantage of having one on one tutoring, as we know that English is an immensely difficult language to learn. Many high schools require at least three years of foreign language studies, and most undergraduate college programs expect to see foreign language classes on incoming applicant transcripts. There are many benefits of speaking more than one language. Opportunities for traveling, studying, and working open up for students who are able to speak another language confidently. Students who study foreign languages also gain a stronger understanding of their first language.
