We are able to provide special education tutors who have experience working with students with special needs and are able to differentiate instruction based on individual children’s needs. We have a certified Special Education and Integrated Services teacher on staff to coach students with all ranges of abilities and ages, from elementary to post-high school. We can support students with academic endeavors including developing study skills, organizational skills, and of course, academic coaching. The goal in public education is to have students with Individual Education Plans in the general education setting as much as possible so students have access to grade-level curriculum and the opportunity to interact with their peers. We are able to assess students’ levels in both reading and math and provide instruction at their level, regardless of their current grade-level.
“As an Integrated Services teacher for Poudre School District, I have had the opportunity to work with students with a range of abilities, and have had the pleasure of getting to know their families as well. I understand how important it is to make sure that basic academic skills are mastered, and know that students with learning differences can sometimes miss out on mastering these skills before teachers have to move on. I am thankful that students with learning differences are able to receive the extra support they need in school, and see the importance of additional support outside of school as well. For people with learning disabilities, it can take much longer for skills to become automatic. Everyone can and will learn when given the time and patience.”
